Abstract

The global impact of Covid-19 has been pervasive, reaching every corner of the world, with the field of education experiencing significant challenges. Following lockdown measures, the education sector had no choice but to embrace technology as the lifeline for keeping the education system functional. The adoption of technology posed a particular challenge, especially at the higher level of the education system, affecting both teachers and students. This paper focuses on assessing the impact on the work efficacy of business school teaching faculty engaged in online teaching during the Covid-19 pandemic, with a specific emphasis on three states: Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. To gather insights, a structured questionnaire was distributed among 105 faculty members of business schools, aiming to examine the motivation and work efficacy levels of teachers in adapting to online teaching during the pandemic. The study employed statistical analysis techniques, utilizing IBM SPSS 26.0, including KMO & Bartlett’s Test, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), regression analysis test, and correlation analysis test. The findings of the study indicate that the online platform emerged as the most effective means of communication for teaching and learning during the pandemic. Moreover, it was observed that online teaching continuously motivated teachers, enhancing their work efficacy and establishing the online platform as a reliable medium for the teaching process. This research contributes valuable insights into the evolving landscape of education during crisis situations and underscores the pivotal role of technology in maintaining the continuity of education.
